America Painting The White House Red

Maybe we should paint the White House red
And silently in shame cover our head.
There's abortion, the massacre at Waco,
And a national deficit so high we don't know.
Then there's the Watergate affair with Nixon
And a first lady some likened unto a vixen.
That's not to mention the Whitewater affair.
How long will such shenanigans go on there?
Sex with a White House intern
Concerning that many don't care.
War monger presidents
Pursuing family agendas
Personal economic gain
And business interests after their campaign
Buddying up to the Saudis
After their terrorists kill and cause us pain.

It's time to ask the hard questions
And demand of our leaders answers
Before we contaminate the world
With such political cancer
The speeches will culminate
The verbage emanate
The excuses proliferate
While ongoing promises unfulfilled pontificate
But what I ask
Is the nation's fate
Who cannot trust its leaders?
Despite repeated negative reports
It's still not too late!
But acknowledgement of wrongs
That's not our trait.
We'd rather let our military men die
Than recognize our poor decisions
And alter them and cause political derision.
So why not let's paint the White House red
A blush of embarrasment.
Why not let the gangs take spray paint
And have at it
We'll call it a memorable day
As the nation is made to realize
Its erroneous way.

Then we can repent
Reform our ways
Call upon God for mercy
To heal our mannerisms and methods
To measure our manhood
To again consider the global good
Until then the White House
Should be painted red
Pass a bill in Congress
Write some legislation
Because our actions and wrongs
Have been a gross deviation
From the pure, moral integrity
With which the founding fathers
Birthed this country
We are sadly lacking in leadership and purity
White is the color representing
Moral brightness
Yet we live in darkness
Therefoe paint the White House red
Until from our shame
We can lift up our head.
